At the end of April 1978 (when "Circus" played their final gigs) I started keeping my tickets from the Grand Wazoo. At the time I had the foresight to write the date on the back of each ticket as well as a comment or two about the band I saw, the people I was with or the events of the day. This information is presented in the table below with some names edited out to protect the innocent:

1980 through the Millennium Salmon Potgieter and his wife Jacqueline finally killed off The Grand Wazoo by opening Pretoria's first mega-trendy discotheque. Live music was wiped off the city's face by the repetitive drone of Lips Inc's. "Funky Town"
